Victor Blue-Label Records
1910-1926

The Blue Label was launched in 1910 as ten and twelve-inch double-sided discs. It was another level between the common Black Label and exclusive Red Seal lines. Early releases included lots of imported opera but over the years Vaudeville and domestic Classical artists became well represented too. When the Purple Label was phased out, many of its old selections were doubled-up and reissued on the Blue. Imports then made another big appearance right before the line quit featuring new releases in 1926. It was then absorbed into the Red Seals in new numbering blocks.
