This page covers the V-40000 series, established for Country Music, with issue dates ranging from 1928 to 1930. The lower 23000 series then replaced it and ran until 1934. The Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Vernon Dalhart and other such talent moved to this bracket. Their earlier issues can be found on other pages. A lot of regional bands and Western Swing music also appeared. Over three hundred different discs were issued in this series.
