Victor 8-Inch Records
1906-1909

The eight-inch disc was a short-lived attempt to replace seven-inchers for the same price of 35¢. Seven-inch sales had dropped off since the public preferred the longer playing time and louder volume of the new ten and twelve-inch discs. However, eight-inchers couldn't compete for the same reasons and were discontinued in 1909.
